Equipment and included services
All rooms are equipped at least with a desk, a bed with a pillow and blanket and closet space for each student. It is possible to change bedcover, pillowslips, bed sheets and coverlets every two weeks. Kitchens are equipped with a fridge and a kettle (in some case with a cooker and oven), other home appliances are not permitted due to security reasons, the list of permitted and allowed electrical devices can be found in the attachment of the Accommodation Contract. You can borrow home appliance such as vacuum cleaner and iron at the reception. Washbasins or sinks are not equipped with crushers waste. Housekeeping of common areas is carried out once a week, room cleaning is your responsibility. Of course, there should be compliance with basic hygiene rules and respect for roommates.
Your mail is available at the front desk of the reception.
Self-service laundry is available to all guests, but it is paid service and you need own washing powder. It costs CZK 40 for two hours.
Wi-Fi (not all buildings are covered) and wire connection (RJ45) are included in your rent.

Wi-Fi EDUROAM - how to access for students
This information is valid for international students: degree students and exchange students (Erasmus, Erasmus+, Exchange Programmes, etc.).
You faculty or International Office of Palacký University is providing us information of incoming students. For that reason, we always book an accommodation for you. According to your study, we choose the best accommodation (location). If you have special requirements, you can write it in your application form.
Your accommodation contract will be prepared at our accommodation office. Find your accommodation office according to your dormitory.
Please, send us your arrival date and time. If you cannot arrive within the office hours, we can prepare your bed linen at the reception that is open 24/7, but we need to know it! If you cannot come within the office hours, visit our accommodation office as soon as possible.
After signing the accommodation contract, you will need to pay refundable security (deposit) which is set to thirty times the accommodation fee for a day (up to CZK 3540 in case of CZK 118 per night for 30 days), one-time fee for lamp and fridge (CZK 120) and rent for September (CZK 95 person/night for a double room or CZK 118 person/night for a single room). Number of single rooms is very limited. Please, be aware that you are obliged to pay rent for October until the end of September. We accept payments by cards or in cash in CZK.
You will need 1 passport size photo for our administration. At the registration, you will be charged a deposit of 1500 CZK, which will be given back to you at the time of your leaving, after you return the keys. Depending on a date of your arrival, you will be asked to pay a rent for the respective month as well. Remember, you can pay only in CZK, you have to exchange your money first. You can pay as well by your credit card, generally, all common international cards are accepted. There have been complications with American Express and cards issued in Asian countries, so please, bring cash if you are holder of these cards.
Before its check out procedure, check your Accommodation Contract, if your date of departure agrees with the date in your contract. If NOT, visit your accommodation office to change your date in your contract. Remember that any change in the contract must be in coincidence with rules given by the contract. If you need to leave earlier than it is in your Accommodation Contract, let your dormitory officer or manager know at least one CALENDAR MONTH in advance. For instance, you need to leave 1st December, but we need to know this information at least in October (November is too late and you are obliged to pay rent for December). In this case, you always pay till the end of a month.
If the date agrees, visit your accommodation office one week in advance and arrange your check out with your dormitory officer or manager.
1) You need to ask any housekeeper to check your room who will sign your dormitory card. Note that the room has to be empty, clean with all furniture in original position! Please, wipe out the floor, dust your room – under the bed and on the furniture. Defrost your fridge, dry it up and turn it off if you are last person in the flat. Bring your rubbish. The common areas; kitchen, toilet and bathroom should be clean as well – inform your flat mates of the checking day. You are jointly responsible of the common areas. Any stuff left to the room will be taken to the junkyard and the costs will be charged.
2) Go to your laundry services (not to the laundry) with borrowed bed linen, pillowcases, sheets, switched and cables to return them. You will receive an inventory card proving you returned all borrowed stuff.
Now, you can go back to the accommodation office. Take your dormitory card, inventory card and the key with you. Your dorm officer will check all out and in case, everything is all right, you can pick up your deposit at the nearest reception.
CAUTION: If you do not follow this guidance, you cannot check out and your full deposit does not have to be returned full. You are only allowed to check out during the office hours according to your .

Every time the rent for upcoming month must be paid till the end of the previous month. For instance, your next month is October. Last day in September is deadline for your payment. It is very important to pay in time. In case of delayed payment, you will be charged 300 CZK penalty. Of course, you can pay in advance.
You can arrange an automatic monthly payment from one’s bank account or a lump payment or we accept payment in cash or by card right at the reception. Please, be aware, we charge a processing fee CZK 50 for payment in cash and by card. We accept MasterCard, MasterCard Electronic, Maestro, Visa, Visa Electron, American Express at the Neředín II Dormitory and Generála Svobody Dormitory.
Night quiet time
The night quiet time regulation in our country is defined in Act No. 258/2000 Coll., on protection of the public health and on amendment to some related laws where night quiet time is defined from 10 PM to 6 AM of the following day. The night quiet time is equally defined in our University Dormitory Rules.
