When and how to check in in September? Dates vary depending on the dormitory

Accommodation at Palacký University dormitories for the upcoming 2025/26 academic year will be available from Monday, September 1, with some dormitories opening later. The deadline for picking up keys is Monday, September 22, for everyone. You will need to bring your passport if you are a foreigner. A list of exact dates and offices for picking up keys can be found below in the article.

When can I check in?

It is possible to check into the dormitory ONLY ON WORKING DAYS DURING OFFICE HOURS:

7:00AM–11:30AM a 12:00PM–2:00PM

The arrival of students for accommodation in the 2025/26 academic year will take place in individual locations on the following dates:

  • Dormitory Generál Svoboda, J. L. Fischer, B. Václavek and Neředín I, II, III and IV:
    • September 1-19, 2025
  • Dormitory Josef Jařab and 17. listopadu:
    • September 12–19, 2025
  • Dormitory Chválkovice and E. Rošický:
    • September 8-19, 2025

The last date for regular accommodation at UP dormitories is Monday, September 22, 2025, from 7:00AM to 11:30AM and from 12:00PM to 2:00PM for all dormitories..

If, for any reason, a student is unable to move into the dormitories on the dates specified above, it is necessary to make arrangements with the dormitory officer or head of relevant dormitory prior to arrival.

 

Where can I pick up the keys?

Students can pick up keys for individual dormitories at the locations specified in the tablebelow.
The dormitory officer will accommodate the student upon presentation of an identity card or, in the case of foreigners, a valid passport, and will hand over the keys to the room and, in the case of foreigners who need the original to obtain a visa, also the Accommodation Contract.

Payment of accommodation fees

Students staying at UP dormitories can pay their accommodation fees by collection from their bank account (the account holder must always set up the collection authorization and enter it into the ISKAM system), by standing order, by bank transfer, or online via the GP Webpay payment gateway, by payment card at the reception desk of the Neředín II, Generál Svoboda, Josef Jařab, and B. Václavek dormitories, or in justified cases in cash, e.g., especially when checking in at the reception desk of the relevant dormitory. The due date for accommodation fees is agreed upon in the Accommodation Contract.

Students who have set up collection of accommodation fees will pay their September accommodation fees on the day they move in.

This information regarding accommodation applies to students enrolled in full-time bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs, educational programs within the EU, CEEPUS, all long-term exchange programs at UP, and study stays for foreign students.
