When and how to check in? Dates vary by location

It will be possible to check in to the Palacký University dormitories for the upcoming 2024/25 academic year from Monday, September 2nd, with some dormitories opening a week later. The latest date for picking up the keys is Sunday, September 22nd. ID or passport (in case of foreigners) is required. A schedule of exact dates and offices for key pick-up can be found in the article below.

When can I check in?

Check in to the dormitories for the 2024/25 academic year’s accommodation will take place in the respective accommodation offices on the following dates:

  • Dormitories J. L. Fischera, B. Václavek and Neředín I, II, III and IV: September 2nd-20th, 2024 between 7:00-11:30 and 12:00-14:00 (weekdays only)
  • Dormitories Generál Svoboda, Šmeralova and 17. listopadu: September 6th-20th, 2024 between 7:00-11:30 and 12:00-14:00 (weekdays only)
  • Dormitories Chválkovice and E. Rošický: September 9th-20th, 2024 between 7:00-11:30 and 12:00-14:00 (weekdays only)

The last date for proper accommodation check in to the UP dormitories is for all dormitories Sunday, September 22nd, 2024 from 14:00 to 17:00.

If for any reason a student can’t enter the dormitories on the proper dates listed above, arrangements should be made with the Dormitory Officer or Head of the respective dormitory prior to arrival.

Where can I pick up my keys?

Students can get the keys for their particular dormitory at the locations specified in the schedule below.

The Dormitory Officers will register the student upon presentation of a valid ID or passport (in case of foreigners), and will give the student their room keys and, in case of foreigners who need an original for visa processing, the Accommodation Contract as well.

Dormitory fee payment

Students staying in the UP dormitories have the possibility to pay their dormitory fees by a direct debit payment (the direct debit payment authorization always has to be set up by the account holder and entered into the ISKAM system), standing order, bank transfer or online via the GP Webpay payment gateway, by using a payment card at places where the technical equipment of the dormitories allows it (reception desks of dormitories Neředín II, Generál Svoboda and B. Václavek) or in justified cases in cash, e.g. especially when checking in at the reception desk of the respective dormitory. Due date of the dormitory fee is specified in the Accommodation Contract.

The valid accommodation price lists, the House Rules, the Student Accommodation Rules, including fire and hygiene regulations, information on dining and contact details for the Heads of the Dormitories and the Dormitory Officers can be found on the official notice boards of the individual residences and on the SKM UP website.

All of these instructions regarding accommodation applies to full-time Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral students, students of exchange programs within the EU, CEEPUS, all long-term exchange programs of UP and study stays of foreign students.

Students who have been living in the dormitories over the summer break will sign the Accommodation Contract for the upcoming academic year electronically on the ISKAM website and move to their respective dormitory - everything will be arranged in the Accommodation office of the respective dormitory.
